This trip was organized as part of the 91st meeting of the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops of the CIS, which took place in Kyrgyzstan.
The border post "Barpy" protects one of the key sections of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border. The terrain of this area, which consists of a combination of plains and mountains, imposes special requirements on the level of professionalism and training of the personnel, as noted in the report.
The "Barpy" complex, which was put into operation in December 2024, is a modern and multifunctional facility with developed infrastructure. It includes service and residential premises, dining halls, training rooms, a bathhouse, a summer kitchen, dormitories for military personnel, as well as sports facilities, including a football field and a parking lot. This creates all the necessary conditions for performing official tasks and comfortable living for the personnel.
During the visit, emphasis was placed on the arsenal of weapons used by the unit. Guests were shown both standard samples of small arms and specialized samples, such as 7.62 mm AZ rifles, "Zastava M91" sniper rifles, HP-7.62 assault machine guns with the "COBRA" system for uninterrupted ammunition supply, as well as TAG-7V2 anti-tank grenade launchers and type-69 hand grenade launchers.
Modern technical means of border protection, including tactical unmanned aerial vehicles, the latest communication devices, and special equipment for monitoring the situation at the border, attracted particular interest from the heads of the border agencies, as reported by the department.
After visiting the border post, the delegates headed to the city of Manas, where they familiarized themselves with the infrastructure of the FC Barcelona academy, one of the largest sports facilities in Central Asia, playing an important role in the sports development of the region.
