During his working trip to the Jalal-Abad region, President Sadyr Japarov participated in the opening of a new training center for the special unit "Alpha" of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS). This was reported by the president's press service.

Sadyr Japarov reminded about the establishment of this special unit, which was founded on October 27, 1992, and emphasized that "Alpha" has successfully handled important and complex tasks since then.

The president noted that from August to November 1999, the "Alpha" fighters participated in an operation to eliminate international armed groups that invaded the Batken region. During this operation, hostages were freed, and the safety of military personnel was ensured thanks to the professionalism and dedication of the unit in the challenging mountainous conditions.

According to the head of state, the "Alpha" special forces have significant experience in combating terrorism, extremism, and organized crime. They have repeatedly conducted successful operations to apprehend key figures of terrorist groups and drug syndicates.

Sadyr Japarov reported that the construction of the new training center began in early 2025 at the initiative of the SCNS leadership. The center is equipped with modern technologies and is intended not only for "Alpha" fighters but also for employees of other law enforcement agencies and civil defense bodies in the region.

The president familiarized himself with the infrastructure of the new center, observed tactical exercises that included the elimination of simulated terrorists and the rescue of hostages. He also visited the shooting range, where the fighters demonstrated their skills with FPV drones.

Sadyr Japarov noted the high level of training of the personnel and the modern equipment of the center.
