Wildlife of Kyrgyzstan
Increasingly, Western travelers and tourists are seeking exotic vacation spots located "off the beaten path."
Kyrgyzstan is well-positioned to take advantage of this new trend in Western tourism to a certain extent. It is remote from the main tourist centers in the West and is still relatively unknown. Its reputation in the West in this regard is quite favorable - a mysterious and exotic country: untouched beauty of the Tien Shan mountains, unconquered peaks, and unexplored caves. High-altitude pastures and horse herders living in yurts - former nomads, the mysterious and alluring Issyk-Kul Lake. Underwater cities and traces of the Great Silk Road - all this offers an abundance of opportunities for adventure tourism and outdoor sports. The territories bordering China have long been closed to tourists and foreigners. This circumstance has allowed vast areas to remain in a state of obscurity and wilderness. Such areas include the Ak-Sai valley, Kokshaal-Tuu (Naryn region), Korumdy (Osh region), Barkaldoy (Issyk-Kul region), and several other regions where the factor of wilderness can become the main motivation in deciding where to go on vacation.
As tourism products, projects such as "Unknown Tien Shan," "Lost World," "Unknown Land," and others can be offered.
