A recent find by archaeologists participating in the Kyrgyz-Russian expedition is a stone depiction dating back to the early Turkic period. This discovery was made in the vicinity of the Borombay-I burial mounds.

According to information provided by the Scientific Educational Center for Altaic Studies and Turkology "Great Altai" of Altai State University, the sculpture depicts a woman wearing a three-horned headdress, holding a cup in her right hand. The expedition, during which this find was made, was organized jointly with the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn.

Excavations were conducted at archaeological sites in the Borombay area, located near the village of Kyzyl-Oktyabr in the Kemin district of the Chui region.

The head of the expedition, Alexey Tishkin, noted that other ancient stone structures were discovered during the research, as well as unique elements characteristic of the monuments of the nomadic peoples of Inner Asia, such as kherexurs. A total of 41 objects were registered at the Borombay-I site. However, he mentioned that many burial mounds have been looted, and some artifacts were destroyed during the construction of the highway, while the area had long been used for agriculture.

In addition to the main finds, a fragment of pottery and a well-crafted stone pestle were found during the excavations, as reported in the published information.
