The event was also attended by representatives of the Coordinating Service of the Council of Commanders of Border Troops, as well as leaders and delegates from interacting bodies of the CIS, the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the SCO, and the International Union of Public Associations of Border Service Veterans.
Welcoming speeches were delivered to the participants by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev, the authorized representative of the President of Kyrgyzstan in the Jalal-Abad region T. Tekebaev, and the Director of the Department for Security Cooperation of the CIS Executive Committee Major General E.A. Klemets.
During the meeting, the situation at the external borders of the CIS countries was reviewed, and additional measures were proposed to improve border security. The report on this issue was presented by the Chairman of the Coordinating Service of the Council of Commanders of Border Troops, Colonel General A. Manilov.
Information was provided by the heads of the border agencies of the CIS, as well as representatives of the Anti-Terrorism Center, the Bureau for Coordination of the Fight Against Organized Crime, and the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the SCO.
The Council summarized its activities for the year 2025 and identified new tasks, including the organization of joint special border operations.
Members of the Council also discussed issues related to the improvement of automated interstate information exchange, joint research activities, and personnel training.
As a result of the meeting, military personnel who demonstrated outstanding achievements in guarding the external borders of the CIS countries were awarded.
The meeting concluded with the adoption of twenty-two decisions aimed at further strengthening border security and expanding multilateral cooperation in this area.
