At the meeting of the working group held on October 28, 2025, both Atazov and a representative of the Main Department for Crime Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic were present. Their testimonies were heard.
The working group, responsible for the acceptance and verification of documents, established that Atazov does not meet the legislative requirements for candidates for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh and recommended denying his registration.
According to information from the Main Department for Crime Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic as of October 23, 2025, Atazov is on preventive registration as a person associated with an organized criminal group. Additionally, according to the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security, he does not meet the requirements for permanent residence in the republic for the last five years, as he was outside Kyrgyzstan from March 13 to November 29, 2024 (260 days).
According to part 11 of article 61 of the constitutional law "On the Elections of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and Deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh," the presence of facts of connections with an organized criminal group may serve as grounds for denying a candidate's registration.
As a result, based on the conclusion of the working group and taking into account the norms of legislation, the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan denied Atazov's registration as a candidate for deputy in the multi-mandate constituency No. 6, guided by articles 59 and 61 of the mentioned laws.
