U.S. President Donald Trump announced his decision to raise tariffs on imports from South Korea from 15% to 25%. This statement was made in connection with accusations against Korean lawmakers, who, in Trump's opinion, are delaying the ratification process of the trade agreement between the countries, media reports.
In his message on the social network Truth Social, Trump noted: "Since the Korean parliament has not ratified our historic trade agreement, which is its right, I am announcing an increase in tariffs on South Korean cars, lumber, pharmaceuticals, and all other goods subject to mutual tariffs from 15% to 25%."
