
In the northern state of Kano, Nigeria, at least 30 people died as a result of an accident involving a truck, according to information from Kazinform, citing Daily Post Nigeria.
According to local news sources, the tragic incident occurred early Sunday morning in the Kwanar Barde area, which belongs to the local government area of Gezawa. The truck, which was heading to the town of Gujungu, was involved in the accident, allegedly due to speeding.
In addition to the fatalities, many passengers sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospitals for necessary medical assistance.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf ordered immediate medical aid for the survivors.
