According to information voiced by the Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov in an interview with RIA Novosti, the volume of car supplies from China to Russia fell by 44% in 2025. Additionally, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of China, the total trade turnover between China and Russia for 2025 decreased by 6.9% compared to the previous year, amounting to $228.105 billion.
Morgulov noted that the decline in imports from China to Russia, which amounted to just over 10%, was expected by many experts. The reason for this was attributed to the saturation of the Russian economy with certain categories of Chinese goods.
“For example, in 2025, there was a reduction in car supplies by 44%, whereas in recent years this segment had shown rapid growth,” the ambassador added.
