The U.S. Department of State has announced the introduction of visa restrictions for citizens of Uzbekistan who have been found to assist in illegal immigration, as reported by RIA Novosti.
The investigation revealed that these individuals organized the transportation of foreigners, including minors, who attempted to illegally enter the United States through airports and transit points in Central America.
Among the affected measures were the leaders and employees of two Uzbek visa companies that intentionally provided tourist services for foreigners planning illegal immigration to the United States, as stated in the official communiqué.
The statement also emphasizes that the U.S. expresses gratitude to the government of Uzbekistan for its active cooperation in combating criminal networks that facilitate illegal immigration.
