According to Kazinform, WhatsApp has announced the launch of specialized accounts for children under 13 with limited functionality, DW reports.
These accounts will allow children to exclusively exchange text messages and make calls. The setup process will be under the control of parents or guardians, who will be able to determine who can contact their child and which groups they can join, according to the company's statement.
Additionally, parents will have the ability to view message requests from strangers and manage privacy settings for the account.
