As a result of an accident on the Arequipa - Puno highway in southern Peru, 13 people died in a collision between a minibus and a truck. This information was provided by the Report agency, citing the local publication Diario Correo and police data.
The incident occurred at the 178th kilometer of the road, in the area of San Antonio de Chuca, located in the Arequipa department.
According to local media reports, 11 people died at the scene of the accident, while two injured individuals passed away on the way to the hospital before help could arrive. Police from the Arequipa department, along with the prosecutor's office, are conducting an investigation to determine the causes and circumstances of the tragedy.
