The amount of extortion was 350,000 soms
In Bishkek, GKNB employees detained suspects in extortion. This information was received from the committee's press service.
According to information obtained on January 17, 2026, during operational-search activities conducted jointly with the SVR of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, citizen T.A. and police lieutenant A.E.B., who works in the Oktyabrsky district, were detained. These individuals are suspected of receiving 350,000 soms from Ch.M., who acted as the complainant in the extortion case, as stipulated by Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, part 2, clause 2.
According to the case materials, the extortion occurred under the pretext of accusing Ch.M. of committing a crime allegedly related to the rape of T.A. In this context, T.A. and police officer E.A. organized the extortion of funds, threatening with negative consequences.
The Lenin District Court ruled to send E.A. and T.A. to the GKNB detention center.
