A man suspected of fraudulent activities related to horse trafficking has been detained in the Chuy region. This was reported by the press service of the regional Department of Internal Affairs. The identity of the detainee was established after a citizen, born in 1971, contacted the police on November 21, 2025.
According to him, on September 30, at the RIOM car market located in the village of Voenno-Antonovka, a certain individual, introducing himself as M, offered to transport 65 horses, with a total value of 7 million 20 thousand soms, from Kazakhstan through the "Ak-Zhol" checkpoint. As a result, the man received 2 million tenge and the horses themselves, after which he disappeared.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational activities, police officers were able to identify the suspect – a citizen K.M., born in 1984. He has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
