The new car market area is designed to accommodate around 1,500 vehicles. Previously, modernization work was also carried out in other sectors. In 2025, the area where the car market is located received the status of commercial land, which allowed for a complete overhaul of its infrastructure.
Among the works carried out as part of the reconstruction:
- new asphalt pavement;
- construction of two additional canopies;
- creation of commercial premises;
- opening of 31 food outlets, with a total area of 108 sq. m;
- connection to water supply, sewage, and gas systems;
- installation of modern smart barriers;
- fencing of the area and installation of new lighting;
- implementation of a video surveillance system;
- expansion of the market area to 2.5 hectares, which increased capacity from 2,500 to 4,200 vehicles;
- construction of a car wash and sanitary zones.
After the completion of the reconstruction, the car market transitioned to electronic services: now all transactions are conducted cashless. This has already yielded positive results, as revenues have increased from 20-25 million soms per year to nearly 35 million soms in the last three months following the renovation.
