On January 3, a 67-year-old woman turned to the Sokuluk District Internal Affairs Department for help, claiming that her son, under the influence of alcohol, regularly subjected her to physical and psychological violence.
This incident was classified under Article 138 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Torture").
The law enforcement authorities detained the suspect, born in 1978, with the surname Sh.A. He has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
An investigation is currently underway.
