A tragic incident occurred today in the Chui region on the Bishkek–Osh highway, involving a fire in a fuel tanker.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire broke out at the 140th kilometer of the road in the Jayil district, where a vehicle transporting petroleum products caught fire.
A report of the fire was received by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, after which, at 11:36, a team from the fire and rescue station No. 22 in the Jayil district was dispatched to extinguish the flames.
The complete extinguishing of the fire was finished at 14:44. Unfortunately, as a result of the incident, two people lost their lives, and their identities have not yet been established.
After all emergency rescue operations were completed, traffic on this section of the road was restored, and vehicles can now pass freely in both directions.
