On February 8, in the Uzgen district, during traditional horse competitions known as alaman ulaq, two accidents occurred. This was reported in a statement published by the mayor's office of the city of Manas.
According to the provided information, one of the incidents involved a 25-year-old resident of the Suzak district who arrived at the event in his car. He decided to climb a hill for a better view, but due to carelessness, the vehicle rolled off the elevation and fell onto the road. As a result of the accident, the driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Jalal-Abad Regional Clinical Hospital. His condition is currently stable, and he received first aid.
The other case involved a 25-year-old participant from the village of Kara-Darya, who fell off his horse into the water during the competition and drowned. The body of the deceased was sent to the morgue of the Jalal-Abad Regional Clinical Hospital.
An investigation has been initiated regarding these incidents.
