The body of a shepherd who died under a snow avalanche in Suusamyr has been found

The rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of the Kyrgyz Republic completed the search operation and today, February 18, discovered the body of a 59-year-old shepherd named D.A. He became a victim of an avalanche that occurred on February 12 in the village of Kyzyl-Oy, located in the Suusamyr rural district of the Chui region. After several days of continuous searching, the body was retrieved from under the snow.

At the direction of the head of the MES, Urmatbek Shamyrkanov, 70 employees participated in the operation.

It is worth noting that along with the shepherd, 50 sheep and one horse were also caught under the snow mass. The search has been actively conducted since the incident.

The MES of the KR added that work continues to improve safety in mountainous areas and to prevent similar incidents in the future.
