According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, the operation to find the man who was caught under the avalanche in the "Boroondu" area of the village of Kyzyl-Oy is ongoing.
It should be noted that on February 16, the search efforts were temporarily halted, but they resumed again on February 17.
Recall that on February 12, 2026, an avalanche covered D.A., born in 1967, along with his 50 sheep and one horse.
A total of 39 people were dispatched to the scene: 24 rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and 15 local residents.
As of February 16, the search yielded no results, but 31 animals were found.
