
From March 3 to 5, adverse weather conditions are forecasted in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan, as well as at some passes, which may lead to avalanches and the formation of snow drifts.
According to information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations press service, icy conditions are also expected on certain sections of the roads.
The risks of avalanches exist in the following areas:
- Bishkek - Osh: 121-138 km (Tuo-Ashuu Pass), 198-265 km (Chychkan Gorge, Ala-Bel Pass);
- Myrzake - Kara-Kuldja - Alayku: 55-115 km;
- Ala-Buka - Kanysh-Kiya: 45-112 km (Chapchyma Pass);
- Krasnaya Gorka - Ak-Tash: 0-3 km;
- Bishkek - Naryn - Torugart: 292-305 km (Dolon Pass);
- Balykchy - Kazarman - Jalal-Abad: 201-205 km, 260-290 km, and 326-349 km (Kok-Art Pass);
- Karakol - Enilchek: 45-90 km (Chon-Ashuu Pass).
