
From December 17 to 19, 2025, significant precipitation is expected in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan. This may lead to snow avalanches on certain roads, including sections of Bishkek-Osh (km 121-138 at the Too-Ashuu Pass and km 198-255 at the Ala-Bel Pass) and Ala-Buka — Kanysh-Kiya (km 68-74 and km 86-101 at the Chapchyma Pass). The roads Red Gorka — Ak-Tash (0-3 km), Myrza-Ake — Kara-Kuldja — Alayku (km 65-110), Karakol-Enilchek (km 45-90 at the Chon-Ashuu Pass), and Balikchy — Kazarman — Jalal-Abad (km 326-349 at the Kok-Art Pass) are also at risk. Not only avalanches are expected, but also snow drifts, ice, and snow cover.
