In particular, on November 25 and 26, there is a risk of avalanches, snowdrifts, and avalanche cones on the Karakol – Enilchek road, especially in the sections from 70 to 90 kilometers, including the Chon-Ashu pass. Strengthening winds and intense precipitation increase the risk of dangerous situations.
The roads may be slippery during these days, with a possibility of ice formation. Drivers are strongly advised to maintain a distance of at least 500 meters from each other and, if possible, limit traffic on this route.
Rescue services urge citizens to refrain from traveling on the Karakol – Enilchek highway, as well as from driving livestock to high-altitude pastures under worsening weather conditions.
Drivers should carry necessary items: a shovel, a first aid kit, and a thermos with hot water.
