
From December 17 to 19, precipitation is expected in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan, which may lead to avalanches and snowdrifts. Ice formation is also forecasted on the roads.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the following areas are most at risk of avalanches:
- Highway Bishkek – Osh: 121-138 km (Tuu-Ashuu Pass), 198-255 km (Ala-Bel Pass, Chychkan Gorge);
- Highway Ala-Buka – Kanysh-Kiya: 68-74 km, 86-101 km (Chapchyma Pass);
- Highway Krasnaya Gorka – Ak-Tash: 0-3 km;
- Highway Myrzake – Kara-Kuldja – Alayku: 65-110 km;
- Highway Karakol – Enilchek: 45-90 km (Chon-Ashuu Pass);
- Highway Balikchy – Kazarman – Jalal-Abad: 326-349 km (Kok-Art Pass).
