The Ministry informs about the road situation
According to information as of December 15, 2025, traffic over the country's passes is open; however, there are temporary restrictions for heavy vehicles on the Too-Ashuu and Ala-Bel passes.
The press service noted that it is currently snowing, and road services are working to clear the roads of snow drifts and applying inert materials.
The Kara-Goo pass on the Kazarman-Aktalchat road is also temporarily closed until weather conditions improve. Alternative routes are provided for motorists.
“The Ministry of Transport and Communications strongly recommends that drivers replace summer tires with winter ones in advance, carry necessary equipment, and strictly adhere to traffic rules,” the agency's message emphasizes.
