The state enterprises "Kyrgyzavtozhol-Tushtuk" and "Kyrgyzavtozhol-Tunduk" are working around the clock to clear roads and spread a sand-salt mixture. Traffic on the main highways has already been restored.
As of 09:30 on December 9, temporary restrictions for heavy trucks have been lifted on the Toо-Ashuu and Ala-Bel passes on the Bishkek — Osh highway, as well as on the Otmok pass on the Suusamyr—Talas—Taraz road.
Work on clearing and salting the road continues at the Dolon pass on the Bishkek — Naryn — Torugart highway. The Ministry of Transport assures that restrictions for heavy vehicles will be lifted in the coming hours.
In addition, the agency urged drivers to strictly adhere to traffic rules, avoid driving in the opposite lane, timely change to winter tires, and carry necessary means for safe travel.
