In the Chui region, in the Alamudun district, work has begun on the repair of the road surface on the Orto-Sai – Flagpole route. Funding is being provided under the "State Capital Investments" program, as reported by the Ministry of Transport.
According to the agency, the road maintenance enterprise No. 25, which is part of "Kyrgyzavtozhol-North," has already started laying the first layer of asphalt on a section 2.6 km long. At the same time, work is underway on the construction of sidewalks. In the future, the laying of a second layer of asphalt is planned.
The project also includes the installation of lighting, benches, and trash bins, as well as the creation of parking areas and special spots for stopping and enjoying panoramic views.
It is important to note that the previous condition of the road was extremely unsatisfactory, causing serious problems for passage. The road repair will significantly simplify life not only for the local residents of the village of Orto-Sai but also for the thousands of tourists who visit the flagpole for recreation, as well as enhance road safety.
