According to available data, the Naryn – Bayetov – Makmal road is approximately 90 kilometers long, including the section from the village of Bayetov to the village of Kosh-Dobo. Of this distance, only 15 kilometers are paved with asphalt, while the remaining sections consist of gravel and dirt roads.
The active delivery of construction materials for the China—Kyrgyzstan—Uzbekistan railway leads to heavy trucks passing through this route daily. This creates problems: dust rises to such an extent that visibility worsens, deep potholes form in certain areas, and the number of accidents related to dust clouds has significantly increased. Local residents have repeatedly expressed their dissatisfaction with the current situation.
In response to these issues, the leadership of the presidential representative office in the Naryn region held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications. As a result of the negotiations, a decision was made to carry out work on the graveling of a 20-kilometer section of the Bayetov – Makmal road, as well as to regularly water the roadway.
The special irrigation vehicle has already been delivered to the site, and the watering of the road has begun. In addition, the project for the major repair of the Bayetov–Makmal road, which includes the laying of a two-layer asphalt surface, is planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
Asanbek Bilimbek uulu, the head of the district road operation enterprise No. 15, confirmed that the equipment is already in operation, and employees will be engaged in daily watering of the road.
