The opening ceremony of the elections at polling station No. 4090 in the village of Bayetov gathered Akim Mirlan Kamchybekov and other representatives of local institutions and organizations.
During the event, the national anthem of Kyrgyzstan was played, and local leaders expressed hope that the elections would proceed peacefully and without incidents.
However, after the voting began, technical problems arose: the equipment was not functioning for 15–16 minutes due to the freezing weather, which caused the ballot box to freeze.
The first person to cast his ballot into the box was 69-year-old resident of the village of Bayetov, Zamirbek Kachkynbaev, while the Akim voted fourth.
