A Turmush correspondent spoke with several voters who were among the first to arrive at the polling stations.
Seyitmamat Sadykov, a 64-year-old resident of the district, reported that he has been participating in elections since 1996. “I live in Sokuluk and work as a security guard in the park. I came to vote today. The election process is going smoothly. I chose the candidate I like the most. I have been participating in elections for 29 years. In the past, voters would come very early, even before sunrise. Now people are coming gradually, one or two at a time. I think many will arrive by noon. The main thing is that no one is trying to impose their opinion on whom to vote for, as it was in the past,” he shared.
The Sokuluk district is divided into two electoral districts.
Electoral District No. 18
Center: the village of Belovodskoye, building of the Moscow District State Administration.
Total number of voters: 139,755.
Boundaries: includes the entire Ak-Bashatsky and Intymaksky rural districts of the Jayil district; all settlements of the Ak-Suysky, Tort-Gulsky, Tolokskiy, Narzansky, and Min-Bulaksky rural districts of the Moscow district; the city of Shopokov, as well as the Sary-Ozonsky, Z. Kainazarov, and Sokuluksky rural districts of the Sokuluk district.
Electoral District No. 19
Center: the village of Sokuluk, building of the Sokuluk District State Administration.
Total number of voters: 138,373.
Boundaries: includes the entire Gavrilovsky, Zhany-Pakhtinsky, Lower-Chui, Manas, Voenno-Antonovsky, and Kun-Tuisky rural districts of the Sokuluk district; MTU-106 (up to the ATr village of Novopavlovka), as well as Ak-Orgo, Ak-Ordo, and MTU-103 of the Ala-Too Lenin district of Bishkek city.
