As of now, 21 applications have been received for district No. 8. As of October 29, 5 candidates have already been registered. The district has a total of 142,405 voters, covering the Alay and Chon-Alai regions.
The district boundaries are as follows: fully included are the Madyy, Datka, and Bash-Bulak rural districts of the Kara-Suu region; also the Gulchin, Jany-Alaik, Tilek-Tesh, Uch-Dobo-Alaik, Kurmanjan Datka, Jibek-Jol, and Pamir-Alaik rural districts of the Alay region; as well as the Jekendin, Kashka-Suu, and Chon-Alai rural districts of the Chon-Alai region.
