In the Aitmatov District, memorial sculptures have been unveiled for the victims of political repressions.

In the Aitmatov district, a ceremony was held to unveil memorial sculptures in honor of Ancestors' Day. This was reported by a Turmush correspondent.

These sculptures commemorate the memory of outstanding state and public figures who became victims of political repression in 1937–1938, including Törökulu Aitmatov, Erkinbek Esenamanov, and Sultanbek Mongolbaev.

The ceremony took place in the central park named after Yeralhan Abildaev, located in the village of Kyzyl-Adyr.

Attending the event were representatives of the local authorities, Hero of Kyrgyzstan Aliyasbek Alymkulov, relatives and descendants of the commemorated figures, as well as leaders of various district institutions, public figures, elders, and villagers.

At the conclusion of the official part of the ceremony, a memorial prayer was recited.

As part of the event, artists from the district House of Culture and schoolchildren presented a concert program and artistic readings to the audience.
