A conference dedicated to historical figures and the heritage of ancestors was held in the Kochkor district.

In the Kochkor district, a republican scientific and practical conference was held dedicated to the "Day of Memory of History and Ancestors." The theme of the event was "The Legacy of Ancestors and the Spiritual Heritage of Historical Figures Who Made a Significant Contribution to the Formation of Our Statehood."

The conference began with the reading of the Quran at the monuments erected in honor of historical figures, in front of the "Cholpon" cinema named after Gennady Bazarov. These monuments, created in 1998, had not undergone restoration until now. However, this year, the group "Urpaktar" initiated their reconstruction.

The event continued in the hall of the "Cholpon" cinema, where welcoming speeches were made by the district akim Bayaly Dosaliev and the director of the Ch. Aitmatov Institute of Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, honored figure of science of the Kyrgyz Republic, professor and academician Abdildazhan Akmataliev, as well as Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Tynchtykbek Chorotegin.

During the conference, historians and scholars presented a number of reports and donated their research works to the district library.

Among the reports presented:

Alybek Akunov, Doctor of Historical and Political Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at KGUT named after I. Razakov, with the topic "The Epic of Manas as a Model of National Memory."

Temirkul Asanov, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of History of Kyrgyzstan at the Institute of History and Regional Studies of KGU named after J. Balasagyn, with a report on "The Activities of the Manap Kanat Abukin."

Ryskul Zholdoshev, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, Researcher at the Institute of History and Archaeology named after B. Jamgyrchinov of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, presented the topic "Historical Figures of the Kochkor Valley in the 19th - Early 20th Century."

Jyldyz Orozobekova, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor and Chief Researcher at the Ch. Aitmatov Institute of Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, spoke about "The Words of Giants and Science."

Tilek Toktosunov, Senior Lecturer at the Institute of History and Regional Studies of KGU named after J. Balasagyn, illuminated the topic "Sufi Ideas in the Works of Prophet Poets Kaligula-Olu and Moldokylych."

Akylai Dzhumagulova, Lecturer at KGU named after J. Balasagyn, presented a report on "Osmonaly Sydykov — An Innovator on the Path of Education and Jadidism."

Aida Kubatova, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department at the Institute of History and Archaeology named after B. Jamgyrchinov of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, spoke on "The Formation of Kyrgyz National Statehood: The Contribution and Historical Legacy of E. Arabayev and B. Isakiev."

Kyrgyybek Moldozhunusov, a researcher at the same institute, talked about "Village Biys of the Borukchu Volost of the Kochkor Valley in the Colonial Period (1868–1882)."

Jamykat Omurova, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Regional Studies and Kyrgyz Studies at KGU named after J. Balasagyn, presented the topic "Turdakun Usubaliev — A Man of the Era: Creative Activity and Historical Legacy."

Mirzat Mambetova, Head of the District Education Department and historian, presented a report on "Usen Beysheev — A Glorious Hero of the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945)."

Nurbek Sharabidinov, Director of the Kököbai Mambetaliev School in the Kochkor District, spoke about "The Life Path and Activities of the Heroes of Socialist Labor from the Kochkor Valley."

The conference concluded with the adoption of a resolution, after which the participants enjoyed a small concert by cultural workers.
