Boldzhurova Ishenkul Sadykovna (1951), Candidate of Historical Sciences (1978), Professor (1999).Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Tasma, Tyup District, Issyk-Kul Region. Graduated from KSU (1973), postgraduate studies at Moscow State University named after M. Lomonosov (Moscow, 1977).
Worked as a lecturer at KSU, scientific secretary of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, senior researcher at the Institute of Party History under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, associate professor at KJPI, vice-rector for science at the State Institute of Languages and Humanities, rector of BGU, and since 2002 - Minister of Education and Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Specialist in the history of Kyrgyzstan in the 20th century. Honorary Professor of the Kazakh State University of International Relations and World Languages named after Ablaikhan (2001). Awarded the "Dank" medal, commemorative medals of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the International Prize "Altyn Gopur".
Honored Worker of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic (1997). More than 120 scientific works published. Under her supervision, 2 candidate dissertations have been defended.
