Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Toru-Aygyr, Issyk-Kul region.

Graduated from Kirgosped Institute (1951), postgraduate studies at the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR (1959).

Worked as a lecturer at KJPI, second secretary of the Central Committee of the Komsomol of Kyrgyzstan, senior, chief, leading research fellow, and since 1993 - research consultant at the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Specialist in the history of Kyrgyzstan in the 20th century.

Awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor (1981) and medals of the USSR.

Published over 60 scientific works, including 8 monographs.
