Balbakov Murat (1936), Doctor of Economic Sciences (1992), Professor (1989), Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (2000).Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Korumdu, Issyk-Kul District, Issyk-Kul Region.
Graduated from the Moscow Agricultural Academy (1958), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Economics of the USSR Academy of Sciences (Moscow, 1964). Worked as a junior researcher, senior researcher, head of the sector, head of the department of the Institute of Economics, secretary of the party committee of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, deputy director of the Institute of Pastures, rector of the Republican Higher School of Agriculture, rector of the Institute for the Training of Rural Entrepreneurs, and since 1992 - deputy chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission (since 1998 - National Attestation Commission), holds the class rank of State Advisor of the 3rd class. Specialist in the field of economics and management of the national economy (agriculture). Academician of the International Economic Academy of Eurasia (1999).
Awarded medals of the USSR, Certificate of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR, Laureate of the All-Union Competition of Works by Young Scientists in the Social Sciences (1970).
Honored Economist of the Kyrgyz Republic (1991). Honored Figure of Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (1997). Published over 90 scientific works, including 19 monographs and brochures. Under his supervision, 9 candidate dissertations have been defended.
