As part of the event, participants laid wreaths and offered prayers at the monument to Lieutenant Colonel Sagynbek Bekbalaev, who fell in battle along with six soldiers in the village of Gaz during those tragic events.
At the meeting, the military commissioner of the Kochkor district, Lieutenant Colonel Urmatbek Osmonaliev, addressed the veterans of the Batken events and presented them with awards prepared by the military commissariat and the Batken community.
According to the military commissariat, there are currently 101 participants of the Batken war registered, who were also presented with certificates from the district state administration.
