In Kayyndy, located in the Panfilov district of the Chui region, celebrations dedicated to the Day of History and Memory of Ancestors took place.
The event was held in Victory Park and gathered representatives from the local administration, the mayor's office, and the veterans' council. Participants laid wreaths at the monument and held a prayer in honor of significant historical figures.

Rysbek Sheishenov, the mayor of Kayyndy, emphasized that the achievements of the ancestors, who played a significant role in the creation of an independent state, will forever remain in the memory of the people.

Bekturbek Sabyrbekov, chairman of the Elders' Council of the Kurama rural district, shared memories of the life and work of public and state figures such as K.Tynystanov, Zh.Abdrahmanov, A.Sydykov, I.Aidarbekov, I.Ara baev, and A.Orozbekov. He also recalled his fellow countryman Osmonkul Aliev—a enlightener and editor from the village of Cholok-Aryk.

Osmonkul Aliev, known as a journalist and statesman, significantly influenced the creation and development of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region. From 1925 to 1926, he was the first secretary of Kyrgyzstan in the RYLKSM. From the age of 16, he actively participated in the Komsomol organization, dedicating his life to serving his people.

In 1924, Aliev became the chief editor of the first republican publication "Erkin-Tuu" (now "Kyrgyz Tuusu") and was one of the founders of the Kyrgyz Komsomol. He held the I Congress and initiated the publication of the youth newspaper "Leninchil Zhas," as well as headed the magazine "Kommunist." Twice serving as the People's Commissar of Education, he contributed to the opening of kindergartens and the establishment of educational institutions.

As an active organizer, in 1931, Aliev was elected secretary of the Kyrgyz regional committee of the VKP(b) on supply and transport issues. At the III Plenary Session of the OKK VKP(b) and the Kirgobkom, held in July 1931, he raised issues of eliminating illiteracy and implementing universal primary education.

In March 1933, he was invited to the Central Committee for Central Asian Affairs, and in February 1935, he became the first secretary of the Osh district party committee. In January 1937, he was again appointed People's Commissar of Education of the Kyrgyz SSR.

However, in August of the same year, he was expelled from the party and arrested. In November 1938, the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR sentenced him to execution. Later, on November 29, 1957, he was rehabilitated and reinstated in the party.

In the summer of 1991, in Bishkek, near the village of Chon-Tash, the remains of 137 people executed during the repressions were reburied, among whom was Osmonkul Aliev.

Historians note that Osmonkul Aliev was one of the most progressive thinkers of his time—energetic, educated, and devoted to his people.
