The educator Ali Murzakmatov, who dedicated his life to education, has passed away.

In the Kadamjay district, in the city of Aydarken, Ali Murzakmatov, a renowned chemistry and biology teacher from secondary school No. 19 named after B. Sadykov, passed away at the age of 97, reports Turmush correspondent.

His death occurred on October 31, 2023, and the funeral took place on November 1.

Ali Murzakmatov was born on September 1, 1937, in the village of Okhna, located in the Batken region. In 1961, he completed his studies at the Faculty of Biology of Kyrgyz State University and received a diploma as a chemistry and biology teacher. That same year, he began his teaching career at secondary school No. 2 in Aydarken.

From 1962, Ali Murzakmatov worked as the secretary of the Komsomol organization, actively promoting the development of education among youth. At his initiative, girls who had previously not attended school began returning to their studies and enrolling in higher educational institutions. Thanks to his efforts, pioneers like G. Shadieva and S. Salieva received higher education and dedicated 30–35 years of their lives to teaching.

In the 1970s, Ali aga proposed a new initiative aimed at protecting Kyrgyz and Tajik girls from early marriages and encouraging them to pursue education. He organized the sending of about ten girls to Frunze (now Bishkek) under police escort to enroll in institutions such as KJPI (Kyrgyz Women's Pedagogical Institute) and KMMI (Kyrgyz Medical Institute). Tajik girls were also sent to Kirov Pedagogical Institute in Leninabad. All of them successfully completed their studies and returned to work as teachers.

In 1971, Ali Murzakmatov became the director of the Aydarken evening and day secondary school for working youth. Under his leadership, with the support of the Aydarken Mercury Plant, the school was modernized, receiving new furniture, equipment, and visual aids. The school established close ties with local enterprises, significantly improving the quality of education. As a result, it took first place in the republican competition and was awarded a diploma of the I degree.

A. Murzakmatov was awarded the title of "Excellence in Public Education of Kyrgyzstan." Together with the director of the Aydarken Mercury Plant, M. M. Aibalaev, he represented his school at the republican congress of delegates. In 1986, he was awarded the medal "Veteran of Labor of the USSR." Additionally, he was elected several times as a deputy of the village council, justifying the trust of the residents.

During his 55 years of work in education, he trained hundreds of specialists, including chemistry and biology teachers, agronomists, chemical technologists, and doctors. His students work throughout the country and fondly remember their teacher.

Ali aga was also actively involved in public life, heading the people's control for 13 years and leading the school's trade union committee. He equipped the school laboratory with his own resources and improved conditions for students. Thanks to his efforts, teachers in Aydarken began receiving additional payments for working in mountainous areas.

In his personal life, Ali Murzakmatov was the father of three sons, three daughters, had three daughters-in-law, and six grandchildren.
