
Mukambek Alykulov, a well-known state and public figure, passed away at the age of 80. This was reported by the press service of the Osh city administration.
Mukambek Alykulov was born in 1945 in the village of Sovetskoye, located in the Bazar-Korgon district of the Jalal-Abad region. In 1969, he graduated from the Frunze Polytechnic Institute.
He began his career in 1962, working at the Engels collective farm in Bazar-Korgon. From 1963 to 1964, he worked as a miner at a mine in Angren, which was located in the Uzbek SSR. In 1969, he was appointed chief energy engineer of the Southern Trust of the meat and dairy industry.
His service in the Soviet Army began in 1969 and lasted until 1970. From 1971 to 1980, he held several positions, including engineer, senior engineer, and chairman of the trade union committee of the Osh electric networks enterprise. In the following years, from 1980 to 1984, he worked as an instructor in the Osh regional committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, and then, from 1984 to 1987, he headed the regional committee of the trade union of workers of power plants and the electrical engineering industry.
From 1987 to 1995, Mukambek Alykulov served as the director of the Osh electric networks enterprise, and in 1995-1996, he was the mayor of Osh. In 1996, he returned to the position of head of the Osh electric network enterprise.
Mukambek Kalmamotovich was awarded state honors and was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR of the XII convocation, as well as a member of the Assembly of People's Representatives of the Jogorku Kenesh of the I convocation.
