Elections for the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh are taking place in Batken — voters reported malfunctions at 2 polling stations

In the Batken region, early elections for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh have begun, with the opening of 220 polling stations at 08:00.

According to local residents, minor technical glitches were reported at some polling stations. The special representative of the Central Election Commission for the Batken district and the city of Batken, Alisher Koldoshov, noted that special technical teams have been created for the prompt resolution of issues.

“Each group is responsible for 5-6 polling stations. In case of malfunctions, specialists immediately go to the site to resolve them. No serious problems have been recorded so far,” he added.
The total number of registered voters in the Batken region is 355,192 people.

In the Kadamjai district, voters at polling stations No. 8123 and No. 8124, located in the villages of Kyzyl-Bulak and Tamasha, reported equipment malfunctions that lasted for 20 minutes after opening.

The chairperson of the precinct election commission reported that the equipment is functioning normally.
