In the upcoming elections for the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, scheduled for November 30, 4 million 294 thousand 243 citizens have the right to vote. This was announced by Tynchtyk Shainazarov, the chairman of the Central Election Commission, at a briefing for international observers held on November 29.

Shainazarov emphasized that in accordance with the constitutional law "On the Elections of the President and Deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh," the territory of the country is divided into 30 multi-mandate electoral districts.

“In each district, the number of voters is approximately 140 thousand, with an allowable deviation of 20% in either direction,” he added.

Among the total number of voters, 48.5% are men, which corresponds to 2 million 81 thousand 514 voters, while women make up 52.5% or 2 million 212 thousand 729 people. The youth aged 18 to 35 includes 1 million 811 thousand 73 individuals, accounting for 42% of the total number of voters. Of these, 103 thousand 744 voters are voting for the first time.

The age distribution of voters is as follows:

18 years — 103 thousand 744 voters;

19-35 years — 1 million 707 thousand 329 voters;

36-45 years — 924 thousand 478 voters;

46-55 years — 651 thousand 676 voters;

56-65 years — 530 thousand 193 voters;

over 66 years — 379 thousand 620 voters.
