According to the agency, snowfall is observed in the Kuaqy, Dolon, Kyzyl-Bel, and Kyzart passes, which has led to the formation of slippery roads on the Bishkek–Naryn–Torugart highway. Drivers of freight vehicles are ignoring the need to install anti-skid chains, causing traffic jams on the road.
Employees of the regional traffic safety department have organized duty stations in areas where traffic jams have occurred and are working in an intensified mode to manage the flow of vehicles and ensure the uninterrupted operation of snow removal equipment.
The department urges drivers to exercise caution, reduce speed, maintain distance between vehicles, and strictly adhere to traffic rules. It is also recommended to replace summer tires with winter ones and check the technical condition of the vehicle before heading out for long trips,” the message emphasizes.
