From November 7, 2025, until April 15, 2026, the section of the Naryn–Oruktam road located between kilometers 50 and 75 will be closed to traffic.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic, this decision was made based on the directive of the head of the Naryn District State Administration. The reason for this closure is the deteriorating weather conditions and the increased threat of avalanches, which jeopardizes road safety.
Currently, the specialized road maintenance enterprise No. 8 of the Ministry of Transport is installing temporary road signs that will remain in effect until the road is reopened.
It should be noted that this section of the Naryn–Oruktam road is closed annually until spring to ensure the safety of citizens.
During the road closure, residents can use an alternative route through Sary-Bulak, Archaly, and Oruktam.
