The section of the Naryn–Oruktam highway, located between kilometers 50 and 75, will be temporarily closed from November 7, 2025, until April 15, 2026.
According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic, this decision was made in accordance with the order of the head of the Naryn District State Administration. The closure is due to adverse weather conditions and the risk of snow avalanches, making it necessary to ensure safety on the road.
Currently, the specialized road maintenance enterprise No. 8 of the Ministry of Transport is installing special road signs that will remain in effect until the section is reopened for traffic.
It should be noted that the annual closure of this section of the Naryn–Oruktam highway occurs before spring to ensure the safety of the population.
During this time, residents can use an alternative route through Sary-Bulak – Archaly – Oruktam.
