This information was provided by Nurbek Ismailov, the director of the municipal transport enterprise of the city of Osh.
According to Ismailov, the reason for the temporary suspension of trolleybuses is the road expansion work on A. Navoi Street. Buses are now operating on this route instead of trolleybuses.
“Instead of trolleybuses, 7 reserve buses are currently operating on route No. 2. We did this to ensure comfort for citizens. As soon as the road is opened, trolleybuses will return to their routes. At the moment, 11 out of 12 routes are functioning in the city, with about 120 buses involved,” added N. Ismailov.
Earlier, the city hall reported that the section of Alisher Navoi Street in the city of Osh—from Alymbek Datka Street to Kurmanjan Datka Street—will be expanded.
According to the information, due to road repair and expansion works, this section of the street will be closed to traffic from November 1 to November 12.
As reported by the head of the Osh City Road Management Department, Jenish Shonoev, the street will be expanded, adding one more lane, making a total of 5 lanes.
