Work has begun on the renovation of the main street in the city of Osh, named after Rysbay Abdykadyrov. The city administration reported that the reconstruction is being carried out in accordance with the city’s master development plan.

The work will cover the section from Kurmanjan Datka Street to Zakirov Street. The street will be widened and connected to Osmonov Street, significantly improving transport links in the center. A complete overhaul of the road is planned, taking into account modern landscaping standards.

Modern traffic lights are planned to be installed on the updated route, and the old concrete barriers will be replaced with elegant marble slabs. After the work is completed, the street will become more modern and aesthetically pleasing.

Project sketches show that the street will be adorned with new decorative lanterns, similar to those already installed in Bishkek on the renovated section of Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue, near the "Yntymak Ordo" residence. These lanterns with petal-shaped lights have sparked much discussion and memes on the internet.

The renovated section will connect both sides of the city across the Ak-Buura River and will become an important transport artery for Osh. The project was developed by the Osh Regional Department of Urban Planning and Architecture.
