The chief specialist of the Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure of the Bishkek City Hall, Azamat Osmonaliev, reported on the air of "Birinchi Radio" that the repair of several streets in Bishkek has been postponed to next year.

He noted: "This year, two projects will be carried over due to unfavorable climatic conditions and the prolonged process of concluding contracts and conducting tenders. We are talking about Auezov Street, which we planned to repair up to Jibek Jolu Avenue, as well as Karadaryn Street, which runs from Mederov Street to Gorky along the eastern bank of the Alamedin River." Due to a lack of time and weather factors, work on these sections has been postponed.

Osmonaliev also reminded that the construction of Bakayev Street, which runs from Lev Tolstoy to Bokonbaev with the construction of an overpass, is currently ongoing. In the next phase, it is planned to extend this street to Beyshenalieva.

In addition, the process of concluding contracts with contractors for the construction of three new streets is underway. According to the specialist, plans include the extension of Akhunbaev Street from Dostoevsky to Auezov, Sukhe Bator Street along the canal from April 7 Street to Auezov, as well as Auezov Street from Ankara Street to Sukhe Bator.
