The press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic reported on a meeting where representatives from three countries discussed the implementation of the railway project "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan".
Present at the event were the Minister of Transport of Kyrgyzstan Abdykalyk Suyunov, the Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Makhkamov, as well as special representatives from China.
The participants of the meeting analyzed the current status of the project and noted that the construction of the railway has already entered an active phase. Abdykalyk Suyunov emphasized the importance of completing the project within the established timelines and assured that Kyrgyzstan is ready to provide the necessary support to expedite the work.
Currently, work is being carried out on tunnel construction and the building of temporary infrastructure, as well as organizational and administrative activities.
It is worth noting that the implementation of the railway project "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan" is of significant importance not only for Kyrgyzstan but for the entire region. It will reduce the distance for freight transportation, enhance transit capabilities, create new jobs, and elevate economic cooperation between the countries to a new level.
