According to the agency's information, to ensure safety on slippery road sections, a sand and gravel mixture is being spread. In some areas, 4 to 6 centimeters of snow has fallen, and in certain passes, up to 5 centimeters. The work is being carried out by nine road divisions that are on duty around the clock.
On sections of the Bishkek — Naryn — Torugart road, particularly at Dolon Pass from the 273rd to the 319th kilometer, movement for heavy cargo trucks is temporarily restricted. This measure has been taken due to the formation of traffic jams caused by the slippery roadway. The passage of passenger vehicles remains open.
The road services have strongly urged drivers to adhere to safety rules: not to exceed speed limits, to monitor the technical condition of their vehicles, and to maintain a distance of at least 500 meters.
